The temperatures finally rose from 11 degrees at 6:30am to 35 degrees at 10:ooam...I drove to the entrance to Windy Point ( I was not happy about that ominous name!) and painted the view from there. There were gusts of wind, but I as able to paint anyway...It was great to be outdoors again. This is a 9"x12" oil. The subtle values of the snow were the challenge here. A snowshoer was my only visitor...he was going on the "trail"...which can be a challenge even in snowshoes these days. As soon as I finished the wind began to pick up...a good time to leave. I will come back to this spot.
