I missed yesterday due to a day trip/meeting...was glad to get back to the easel today. I once again used a plein air study to go small, instead of going big as I have been painting this winter.
"Lakeside" was painted from a study I did last Fall. It was painted along the shore of Lake Dillon. I loved the interesting colors that are from the beetle kill we are experiencing here. It is sad to see hillsides of red and brown that is from dead lodgepole pines.
This is a 6"x6" oil.
