Packing for Plein Air
alla prima pochadeWhile at the WAOW show in CA I had the opportunity to paint with some artists. I decided to pack my paints in a suitcase and check the bag. I followed several artists' advice and packed my paints wrapped in paper towels and then sealed in zip-lock bags. I also made sure that the tubes were readable and then packed printed copies about the paints' ingredients on top. I used my alla prima pochade box with a smaller camera tripod. All fit nicely in a suitcase. I was pleased to see that TSA did leave their "love note" stating that they had inspected the bag...nothing was missing.
