Get Out There!

I  recently had a wonderful day visiting two special exhibits at the Denver Art Museum and the American Impressionist Society Show at Saks Galleries in Denver with a couple of other artist friends. Going to an exhibit with fellow artists is fun as well as a learning opportunity. Others point out things that you might not notice. We did all enjoy some of the same paintings, but sometimes a painting that didn't speak to me visually attracted someone else. It was interesting to learn what was interesting in pieces that I might have overlooked. I learned a lot from my friends; more than had I gone to the exhibits by myself.

Most of all I went! I often am "too busy" to take a day to visit museums or galleries. This day enriched my life and opened my eyes. I encourage everyone to get out there and take a day for art. It will add to your life.
