It is always exciting to begin the new year...I always think I am starting with a clean slate the first Monday of the new year. Each day in fact is a new beginning...a gift...I hope that I never forget that. Today I did 2 small paintings in the studio. I had hoped to paint outside, but the weather was very cold, ( -7 when I got up this am) and when it warmed up the winds kicked in. I have a problem with painting in the wind...You can't concentrate for holding on to your easel in the hopes that you won't lose it as well as your painting. I have tried it...and it isn't pretty. Such is life...you aren't really in control.
